Just a big thank you to everyone who contributed to Saturday's matchday collection. We took in a massive £1,521.46 which to surpassed expectations doesn't do it justice.

We were hoping that people would be rooting down the side of the couch and bringing in loose change but it was pretty humbling to be honest seeing people coming up and dropping off notes. Every donation was very much appreciated.

As we say in the piece, we'll be there for most if not all games for the rest of the season, but we could not and do not expect to see such generosity at every game.

Thanks again to all donors and the volunteers who helped bring the money in.

Fantastic effort.

To be at 25% of such a huge target in 17 days shows just how much this means to people.

With awareness of the situation growing, its only going to get bigger and bigger.

Well done to all involved

Arrived at the ground at about 2.35 on Saturday with a pocket of accumulated loose change but didnt run into a collector outside the Sandy Lane turnstiles. Oh well 10 more chances... I need to stop using a credit card for small purchases and get back to using cash and getting change!
Also, how about a couple of car boot sales on the car park nearer May? 50 sellers at £10 each with a couple of stalls selling donated items from supporters?

The cause needs collectors - if you or anyone could volunteer that will no doubt be appreciated.

Car boot sale may be an idea, but seeing as the High Court threat is against individuals and not the club, for pernicious reasons, the filth might find some petty objection to the club's land being used for a car booty. Plenty of other places in our borough to do it . Sympathetic pubs (of which we have many) car parks?
