During the first week of this lockdown I found half a jar of Marmite in the cupboard. I haven’t eaten it for years so it’s been there for some considerable time, so long in fact that I couldn’t remember if I liked it or not. It looked and smelled okay so I polished it of over the next few days and decided I liked it. When my missus did the shop I asked her to get more but apparently it had run out so she came back with Bovril, something I’d only ever had in a hot drink down the swans, so I didn’t know what to think at first, but I tried it, as a spread. I think I like it. Just had a round of toast with bovril, cheese spread and a mashed soft boiled egg on top - weird or not?

The vitamin B acts as a deterrent against mosquitoes biting you....they don't like it
