Will the state of the pitch prove pivotal? 16:03 - Feb 4 with 1962 viewssteofthedale

Whilst the poor playing surface at Spotland has blunted Dale's usual style of play and contributed to our precarious league position, perhaps the recent postponements may prove pivotal.

Confidence should be higher after 2 good away performances and the players relatively well rested compared to our opponents following home postponements. A decent performance in the replay could provide much needed momentum for the forthcoming fixture congestion.

Every cloud has a silver lining perhaps including those responsible for for the COA deluge.

Performances had dropped well before the condition of the pitch became an issue, in my view.

The point is, we have an opportunity to reset, and start again, in part due to the current state of the pitch.

The postponements have given us opportunities in four games, where we have now found a formula that gives us a chance to gain points that previously we probably wouldn't have.

Some teams will also look at our pitch and not fancy it, hopefully ours wont be one of them.

Everything thats been, has past. The answers in the looking glass!
