With the home pitch the way it is - and not likely to get any better - and the way we've played against both Oldham and Ebbsfleet do we need to bring a target man in upfront? It's just not Mitchell's game and Waller has played quite a lot of long balls in the last 180 mins which have just given up possession. Obviously its not the way Jim wants to play but we need to find a way to adapt to this pitch or else we wont make the play offs.
Noticed it a lot last season, and again this season. The amount of teams who leave a gaping hole down the centre of the pitch is unbelievable at this level. You get a great view from the Pearl St end. Even before he scored - that pass from Sassi was on countless times. Just hope we can exploit it more going forward.
Are the club going to give us any more explanations as to why we are the only football club with a waterlogged pitch? Halifax, Chorley and Ashton all have games going ahead tonight. What has gone wrong?
Safe to say tonights game is huge I think in the context of this season. Local derby, chance of breaking into 30 points and we've not followed up a win for a very long time (McNulty's first 2 games in charge)? Win 1, draw 1, lose 1 although better than losing week in week out really doesn't gain you any sort of momentum at any point. We need to play at some sort of tempo tonight - please no walking football.
The last time we won a weekend fixture. The players and management should be embarrassed. I feel for fans who still spend their hard earned money following the club away from home - they deserve better.
