Two bits from the match preview... Don’t concede first in this game - Leeds are unbeaten in 75 Championship games when scoring first (won 66), since a 2-1 defeat at home to Wigan in April 2019. Since beating QPR 3-1 in December 2017, Leeds have lost 24 of their 31 league games in London (W4 D3) and have lost nine of their last ten in the capital. |

It ran that train, it trundled through without stopping, because they didn't want 1,500 of us colliding with 1,500 West Ham at Sunderland. |

One of the great days. My old mentor/replacement dad Stuart took me. Lost a crown on his tooth down the steps after Furlong's goal. Chased back to the train station by some generous well wishers waving pool cues to congratulate us on our victory. Locked in and sent south rather than back to Newcastle because West Ham were at Sunderland. Changed trains at, perhaps, Eaglescliffe? The whole away end diverted into a pub at the top of the footbridge. Bought the landlady a new holiday home with those takings. Saw my dad's mate Mark on the train back from Darlington yesterday. He says it's his last season. I reckon he said it that day as well. Just wonderful. Happy times.

There's a Twitter account called LogicalClaret who is an absolutely brilliant way to pass time as he patronisingly explains to all the Burnley fans how this is all completely untrue and Scott Parker is actually a genius who is far outperforming his brief. |

Well, this month was always going to be difficult. We forecast that miles out. We've played 16 times against the top ten and won once - ninth placed Blackburn at home. We've lost all the games by one goal, which was largely to be expected. The time to be worried/angry is if we go back into the Stoke, Bristol City, Cardiff, Oxford, Swansea, Preston run of games and we're phoning in sht defeats in those. |

That was garbage. Looked like we couldn’t be arsed with it for 80 mins which is tough to take when you’ve made the effort to go all that way and support them. Played okay for the last 10 mins which was nearly enough to get a point and tells you all you need to know about what was there first us tonight if we’d played properly. |

Yeh you’re more likely to get excellent young boys from the puppy farm (and the occasional pre-season game against their reserves, lucky you) like this than if Gareth Ainsworth is blowing his haka horn and trying to sign Dominic Gape. |

Picked a fine time to come home for the week. Nice bit of cyanide in the air. First time since those lions got loose that Look North has had some proper news to report. |
