A really drab game to watch,Che looked like he was legless with no energy only Theo and KWP looked up for the fight. This game reminded me of some of our poorer games last year and as the game went into the second half we were poorer.A better team would of buried us and there is one coming up so we better get it together or we will be in trouble.Djenepo just not showing anything like we thought he would do,hopefully we can get things going again but overall disappointing game and result.

It was a poor game because: West Ham came for a point with often nine, ten or eleven behind the ball; West Ham are a very well - Moyes organised - defensive team; Saints have sorted their defence out to Premiership standard; Saints didn't have that technical or creative genius to crack the safe; Saints only blue print was easily sussed out and we could only play to that conformity eg. Moussa has been forced to keep his positional head on and not his 'wild and free' one. I think Ralph's got to rearrange the formation sometimes and allow certain players more freedom - Djenepo being the prime one; the Ref kept breaking up the match for the most marginal of offenses; We've been unlucky with VAR lately - when (like many of the Ref's) it's now clearly a waste of a good football match - if Dawson can't get sent off for seemingly purposely kicking Adams in the head - it really is time to get rid of it (bar goal-line decisions and dangerous play). I'll take a point and accept it because if we can't beat Fulham and West Ham we don't deserve to be in the top six. Frankly, it'll be an achievement if we hold our current position and we could slide down further with four very tough games coming up.

Defence was solid but except for a short period after half time we looked slow and uninspired in attack. Djenepo looks like even he doesn't know what he's going to do when he gets the ball.

Stephens made a mistake at the end but was otherwise solid. Romeu was class, Theo and KWP were at times fallible but still provided the greatest threat of a breakthrough. JWP tireless. Ings looked better but still not quite there. Our third offside 'goal' on the bounce.

I'm surprised that more wasn't made of Adams being kicked full in the head. Dangerous play surely? I'm also surprised that Adams was allowed to stay on without any real head injury assessment. The age of letting players 'get up and run it off' is surely long gone?
