Permanent deal gets a lot closer for Nathan
Friday, 11th Aug 2023 18:55 by @Cornish67David

Nathan Tjoe-A-On the Excelsior Rotterdam defender is the Swans main priority as they aim to complete their rebuild well before the transfer window ends on September 1st. There have been some pretty lengthy discussions surrounding the twenty one year old who has scored one goal for his club in forty seven appearances.

Questions were raised initially on clauses within his contract but now it appears it concludes in June next year, which will mean the Swans having to pay a fee. Sporting Director Paul Watson has worked cleverly this summer recruiting in vital positions for Michael Duff’s side utilising both the permanent and loan market. Charlie Patoni signed on today from Arsenal as we reported recently.

Nathan established himself last season in the Eredivisie as a quality left sided player standing 6’3” with exceptional ball skills. We recently published a report on the player on the Indy.

Excelsior played thirty four league games last season with twenty nine of them featuring Nathan. The Swans have worked extremely well this closed season and the addition of Tjoe-A-On if the detail can be sorted is a huge plus.
