Beattie "Honoured And Proud" To Be At Swansea
Wednesday, 17th Jun 2015 11:38 by Planet Swans (follow us on Twitter @swansnews)

James Beattie has taken to Twitter today to tell us how honoured and proud he is to have been appointed to the backroom staff at the Liberty, working alongside a former team mate in Garry Monk.

Beattie - the former Everton, Saints and England striker - was confirmed as being part of the coaching staff at the Swans yesterday where he will link up with one of his close friends in the game.

Beattie and Garry Monk played together at Southampton before their careers took a different path but they now have the opportunity to link up again and prepare the Swans for their fifth season in the Premier League and to build on last term's record achievements.

Beattie said on Twitter this morning "Many thanks for all your good luck messages. Can't wait to meet up again with all the staff and players @swansofficial Honoured and proud.

"Hard work, diligence and total commitment to the cause. Helping this fine club progress under the leadership of an excellent young manager"
