Swans v Chelsea, Bournemouth v Manchester United First Up...Fixtures Leak Day Is Here Tuesday, 16th Jun 2015 07:23 by Planet Swans (follow us on Twitter @swansnews) Today is officially fixtures leak day. The new diary dates for next season are out tomorrow morning at 9am and today you will find that social media is a frenzy as people 'in the know' post what they believe to be the opening day fixtures for the new season. This morning all over the country there will be people madly using their photoshop skills to tell the world that they have stumbled across an exclusive leak of the new fixtures. People will undoubtedly tell you that they visited the BBC fixtures page or the Premier League website and they found the screenshot they took of the fixtures for the opening day or even weeks of the season. It has always been so and I am not sure that I have ever seen one of these leaks prove to be close to right let alone the actual truth of the opening day fixtures. With ten fixtures to choose from there is a decent chance that one of them will be right and that will give the ITK person the chance to claim that some of them must have changed at the demands of the police or even Sky Sports but trust me none of the leaks you see today will be genuine. Transfer leak day has become almost as big at times as transfer deadline day. I am convinced that it is only a matter of time until Sky Sports News have their own transfer leak day with Jim White and Natalie Sawyer dressed probably in green (yellow is so transfer deadline day) talking to reporters all around the country who are backed by football fans in the hope that football fixtures arrive by Securicor at 5pm tonight rather than via email or worse still direct into these websites. There are very few things that remains quiet in football but the release of the football fixtures list generally are one of them so even Harry Redknapp out of the window of his car could shred no light on the subject. Yesterday's first leak of the fixtures saw new boys Bournemouth start at home to Manchester United whilst the Swans were starting at home to Chelsea. Arsenal played Liverpool whilst Man City hosted Spurs on a bumper weekend for the TV companies - the things that they could only dream of. It his social media and people were there with their re-tweets and their shares just to be able to say "I told you so" in the unlikely event that someone had randomly predicted 10 fixtures - its about as likely as being able to predict the 5th Round FA Cup draw 24 hours before it is made. So watch out for the inside leaks today and the photoshop skills giving you insights into what will happen at 9am tomorrow but my only prediction for the day is none of the leaks will be genuine. But we will have some fun along the way See you against Chelsea... Photo: Action Images Please report offensive, libellous or inappropriate posts by using the links provided.
