Arsenal Defender Linked With Swans

Arsenal defender Carl Jenkinson has been linked with a move to Swansea who are rumoured to be joining West Ham and Sunderland with a move for the player.

Jenkinson spent the last year on loan at Upton Park and is thought to be keen on making the move permanent having seen his first team chances virtually ruled out at Arsenal.

West Ham's elevation into the Europa League make them an attractive proposition for the player at the moment but Sunderland and Swansea are both said to be tracking the progress of the transfer as they contemplate their own move for the England Under-21 international.

Jenkinson has returned to the Emirates after his spell at West Ham but it is looking like he will make the move away from Arsenal with new West Ham manager Slaven Bilic keen to complete a deal to bring him to Upton Park.

Today's Telegraph report that Sunderland are tabling a bid of their own and it has also been suggested that the Swans could join that race and other Premier League clubs are also reported to be tracking progress

With Kyle Naughton and Angel Rangel already in place for the right back berth I do wonder of the validity of this story but Jenkinson is a valid suggestion and given the reported price tag (£2m) it is feasibly possible that this one could have some mileage in it
