And so this is it, the 46th league game of the season and what every Swansea fan hopes is the gateway to a further three games

I suspect had you asked almost any Jack at the beginning of March what would be there to play off on the final day of the season they would have answered potentially automatic promotion but more a jostling for position in the play off zone for the right maybe for home advantage in the second leg.

Instead after a shocking two months, the Swans find themselves needing to win in the first instance and then hope amongst hope that Bristol City can at least take a point from their trip to the seaside when they take on Blackpool.

Anything else than those two scenarios and it is the end of the road for the Swans - for this season at least - and they must sit back and watch a party that for most of the season they looked like being a part of.

For the first time since the turn of the year the Swans future is out of their hands thanks to a wretched run of form that turned when they fell to a last minute goal at Nottingham Forest at the beginning of March.  Such was their lead it took almost two months for the bad form to have an effect on the top six but that happened last week as the Swans lost by two goals at Sheffield United.

But who knows what is around the corner tomorrow?  Last day drama so often brings twists and turns and maybe this time it will be our turn to benefit.  All we can do as fans is to be behind the team from the first minute to the last to ensure that we can leave the Liberty saying that we (Swansea City) did all we can on the final day to secure our position.  If Blackpool win as well then we can do nothing about that part of it bar leave head held high.

And who is to say that if we can make the difference and help the Swans sneak into the play offs then maybe in three weeks we will once again grace Wembley stadium with a £90m kitty of gold the prize for the winners on the day.

We can still do it.  We can still believe.   We are - as ever - Swansea till we die
