MOTD COMMENTATOR'S NOTES -Tony Husband: "'Summertime and the livin' is easy', sang Ella Fitzgerald, and that certainly rings true with Swansea. "They're unbeaten in their last eight Premier League fixtures in August and will be confident of making it two wins from two in their opening home game. "After the chaos of their pre-season, Hull now have history in their sights - the Tigers have never won their first two matches of a Premier League campaign. "I was struck by the unity of the squad - what's left of it - in the win over Leicester last week. That can mask the problems behind the scenes, but for how long?" WHAT THE MANAGERS SAY Swansea City head coach Francesco Guidolin on losing key players Ashley Williams and Andre Ayew: "I was used to this at [previous club] Udinese. Every year we changed a lot of players, the best go, the young players arrive. "I am used to working in this way. I was happy last season, at the moment it is the same with this group. "It is different, but I am happy. There is a good feeling between me and my players." Hull City caretaker manager Mike Phelan on their lack of signings: "We face another game with the same group of players. "I mentioned last week that it could have been a big week this week but not a lot has happened. "Everything gets tighter and tighter and the days are ticking away." Match Referee Stuart Attwell
MATCH FACTS - Head-to-head Swansea have never lost to Hull at the Liberty Stadium, winning two of four encounters in all competitions. The Swans won both meetings during Hull's last season in the Premier League in 2014-15, although the Tigers beat them in the League Cup 13 months ago. Swansea City
The Swans are unbeaten in five home matches since losing to Southampton on 13 February (W4, D1). Swansea are unbeaten in their last eight Premier League games played in the month of August (W6, D2). Since Francesco Guidolin took charge of his first Premier League game with Swansea in January 2016, the Swans have won 28 points - more than Arsenal (27), West Ham (26) and Manchester City (25).
Hull City have never won their opening two matches in a top-flight season. The last time they began a league season with two wins was in 2004-05, when they were in the third tier. Last weekend the Tigers became the first team to win a Premier League game without making a substitution since Manchester United against Liverpool in February 2012. Hull also won on the opening day of their last Premier League campaign in 2014-15 (beating QPR 1-0) but they went on to win just one of their following 16 league matches. The Tigers scored only 22 goals in 23 away games in last season's Championship (excluding the play-offs). Only seven teams scored fewer on the road in the second tier.

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

looking forward to watching Llorente and co down the Liberty! Hard to predict an outcome of the game because i was quite surprised by Hull last weekend. but i'm gonna stick my neck out and say 2-1 Swans. I'm also hoping Barrow and Montero start on the two wings and continue to swap, can't see the Hull full backs dealing with them all game.
See you all down there on Saturday!STID

Watched them last Saturday, very impressed with their captain Curtis Davies, could he be a candidate to replace Ash?, will closely watch how he fares up against our front line this Saturday.

And he's already been replaced by Amat. Can you imagine Amat's reaction if they brought in someone else to replace Ash?
If someone is brought in and goes straight into the team ahead of Amat or Fernandez it's because guidolin thinks he's a better player. That's just how it is. we could have easily conceded a few goals last week so the more competition at the back the better the performance hopefully.

Yes I like Curtus Davies could be a good shout. Especially with there owner seeming so uninterested.
