Bavaria lager in CKs on 19:13 - Aug 10 with 3319 views | perchrockjack | Not true. Try Normandy. Even better try calvados an apple based liquor from Normandy. St etienne is triffic , in fact Alsacian beer is great too. Stella cidre is beautiful unlike bow which is basically for commoners or drunks. No offence

I oft see several green bags (on recycling day) outside peoples houses stuffed full of strongbow cans. I wonder what their guts are like, the stuff rots you inside to out.

Bavaria lager in CKs on 23:25 - Aug 10 with 3069 views | Cooperman | May I digress slightly? I was challenged by a mate to see who can sample the highest number of international lagers - 1 country = 1 point and photographic evidence is required. I'm up to 49 and it's getting very difficult to progress further (I undertake a lot of international travel and even this has exhausted most opportunities). Can anyone help me out? Is anyone going anywhere obscure sometime soon? I'm willing to pay a small fee in the form of a nice vino to cover import duty. Target countries and regions include: Croatia Hungary Luxembourg Central America Central Asia Much obliged, A.

Saw a prog a few years ago on the box, they said that they brewed the flavour out of Bow in order that the imbibers drink more of it per session.

Croatia - Karlovacko or Ozjusko Central America - I'd go for a Costa Rican Imperial (l'aguila - eagle)

Finding the name is not so difficult for me, however obtaining a bottle certainly is. Sorry to hijack the thread as well Darran. Bavaria didn't make it as my German entry but I have tried it and agree with your thoughts.

The brown is a nicer drink in my opinion. Speaking as one who's lived in Hereford for fifteen years, and in fact works in an office next to Bulmers factory, I wouldn't clean my toilet with Strongbow, far lessd drink it. Stowford Press is the session cider of choice for the discerning cider drinker around here, although of course there are dozens of craft ciders from this neck of the woods worth a look too.

I love a drop of that stuff, but it's hooegaaden I really like. Went to this bar in Brussels many years ago and they boasted that they had over a 1000 beers on their menu. I settled for this house white beer which was amazing. I also sampled a beer call Kwak (I think it's called that). It was served in what I can only describe as one of those bulbous type vessels chemists use and it was hung on a small rack. Very potent stuff and worth trying.

I'm back and forth from Belgium quite often, Ebo, and I do make a point of trying different bottled beers. There's just so many available though we're all spoilt for choice. This stuff is nice. Wicked strong though so you have to try and use your head a bit. Keep an eye out for this too. I've only seen it a few times but I always look for it.
