QPR travel to Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night for a Carling Cup match with Chelsea. Here are the usual, albeit rather short, travel tips for those planning on going to the game.

Ground Name: Stamford Bridge
Capacity: 42 449
Address: Fulham Road, London, SW6 1HS
Main Telephone No: 0871 984 1955
Ticket Office: 0871 984 1905

By Car:
Always tricky to provide directions to a London game as people are coming from all different parts of the capital and rest of the country but essentially you come into town over the Hammersmith flyover, take the Earls Court turning a mile or so later and drive past the station there and down the one way system to Fulham road. Turn right at the lights and the ground is another half mile or so further up on your right.

Parking:
As you would expect from an older ground in the middle of London there are no large designated car parks, and a plethora of residents permit schemes around the stadium to make parking difficult. Park further afield or use public transport is the best advice I can give.

By Train
Most QPR fans will arrive by train or tube for this one I would think. Fulham Broadway on the District line is the closest underground station to the stadium but this is an absolute bloody nightmare after the game so may only be good for getting you there and not away afterwards. Earls Court is just about walkable I suppose while overground trains from Shepherds Bush and Clapham Junction stop at nearby West Brompton.

Pubs:
Round the ground is probably a bit of a no no for QPR fans with a heightened police presence sure to be in place. Probably best to drink in small groups further afield if you are to avoid becoming caught up in large scale frog marches organised the police as happened for the FA Cup game.

Tickets: QPR have not surprisingly sold out their allocation of just under 6000 tickets for this one..
