Last week paid a nice little return and let us hope it will continue into the last week of this season. Unfortunately, the winning weeks have been outnumbered by the losing ones but I have enjoyed taking part and fair play to the Don for picking winners on a regular basis and unless we have a massive win this week he fully deserves his winners prize. I will enjoy my runners up trophy and my consolation prize of an all expenses paid trip to the Bahamas thanks to Northern R’s generosity

In the Champions League Final I am torn on who to cheer so I have decided Man Utd on the pitch and the Russian secret police off the pitch. Let’s see them throw lumps of celery around Red Square with a KGB mob behind them. I am told that certain sections of the New Chelsea brigade were upset when told they would need Visa’s to visit Russia . Apparently, if Daddy’s American Express is not taken then they don’t want to go.

If you think my luck has been bad this year Andy Townsend writes a column in the Star on Saturday and gives his predictions for the Premier league games. A couple of weeks ago he got all 6 games spot on, not just the result but all the scores. The odds were a shade over 22,000-1 And he did not have a penny on it. What might have been.

The Baggies come to town and could be crowned champions but I think we will get a point and will go for a 2-2 draw with Rowly to score first.

The Guineas meeting at Newmarket takes place and in the 2000 guineas we will be roaring home Fast Company of Godolphin and Kitty Match room of Aiden O’Brien in the 1000 Guineas .

Finally we will have a couple of footie bets that will give good returns.
