Bardsley or Furs... to fill Birch's shoes 23:05 - Jan 16 with 1988 views | GetMeRangers | Having looked at McIntyre's article on Birch, I noticed the link at the bottom http://www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/bardsley-declares-interest-in-qpr-role84732 David Bardsley has thrown his hat into the ring, and those of us who listen to the podcast will be fully aware at how keen he is to introduce his youngsters to QPR and has blue and white running through his veins. "And Bardsley, who now lives in Florida where he runs his own academy for young players, says he would relocate back to the UK if offered a role at Loftus Road. He said: “I’d be interested, definitely. QPR is my passion and I’ve always said the only reason I’d move back to England would be for them." Has the experience.....Orlando FC QPR Academy USA was set up by him in 2006. It has no formal ties to his ex-club but is inspired by it — players at all levels of the academy wear Rangers kits. Surely the right sort?????
Bardsley or Furs... to fill Birch's shoes on 23:51 - Jan 16 with 1907 views | TacticalR | I'm sure he'd do a great job. I have been wondering if he would hook up with Beckham who has bought the MLS franchise in Miami.

Bardsley or Furs... to fill Birch's shoes on 08:37 - Jan 17 with 1700 views | sexton | Originally signed by Trevor Francis as a right midfielder I think? But bettered only by Dave Clement as a right back in all my years. Best right back in the country at the time, but not taken to Euro 92 by Graham Taylor. Though he did pick Andy Sinton at right back for one game instead. Turnip.

Bardsley or Furs... to fill Birch's shoes on 15:03 - Jan 17 with 1440 views | BklynRanger | I'd love Bardsley to come back to Rangers. We need to get more of that happening, build a better link between our history and our future. BUT if Steve Gallen wants the job, as I just read, I think he thoroughly deserves a crack at it.
Bardsley or Furs... to fill Birch's shoes on 15:27 - Jan 17 with 1410 views | hoopstilidie | As said, the right sort, Rangers through and through and has learnt his craft. I'd have the Flying Bard back at QPR in a heartbeat.

If Stephen Gallen wants it they should give it to him 1) He's a great candidate 2) He needs progression 3) He has spoken about wanting to progress, and 4) Like Bircham, if he can't progress here he'll do it elsewhere, maybe immediately if snubbed.

"temporary charge" though. Doesn't really mean anything at this point.
Bardsley or Furs... to fill Birch's shoes on 16:29 - Jan 17 with 1335 views | Antti_Heinola | would love bards to come back. but know little about him as a coach. Gallen has done a fine job, and I think what we need to ensure is that whoever takes the job sees it as a long term thing. Gallen obviously does. As would Bard I'm sure.

Agreed. It would be good to use Bardsley's talents somewhere. He ran the Ajax Academy in Florida and set up the QPR Academy when Ajax pulled out.
