Match Thread 14:04 - Dec 11 with 22748 views | paulparker | Starting this one as I feel a good win coming on 2-1 to Rangers , Austin with a brace
| And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot
That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles

Apart from NW do we ever do new manager bounce at QPR ?

No. Because the manager isn't the problem, therefore changing them doesn't really do anything.

In that case I'm hoping for a "NOB" in the future when the present owners decide to leave us. As for the game, there is this weird all too infrequent, positive feel about it. JFH is in the (mad) house, looks like a positive appointment, is saying the right things and Bartons back in town. I'm feeling confident and as posted elsewhere I think it will be a comfortable 2-0 win with an almost party and definitely positive feel about the place. What could possibly go wrong?!

but didn't Neil play with 2 holding midfielders?
Match Thread on 14:33 - Dec 11 with 5272 views | WokingR | We are also in the nice position where most of the teams above us are all playing each other this weekend. Plenty of points to be dropped. I'm also feeling strangely positive so it's all likely to end in tears

Yeeessss but neither are particularly attacking are they? Was mentioned earlier in the week that what we really need is a box to box midfielder. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Had a couple of pints with a few burnley fans today who've travelled down for the game and Xmas shopping..every time one of them bought a pint a chorus of.." Bloody hell, don't tell the wife, that's me mortgage payments fecked for the next two months." They were/are very confident about beating us ..they reckon 0-2... As I said to them, a jammy 1-0, or we win 3-1. C'mon you R's.
Match Thread on 15:46 - Dec 11 with 5175 views | johncharles | Be interesting to see JFH's take on the situation. Don't think we're organised enough to stifle them. We might as well have a go at them. Let in two goals and score three.

Match Thread on 15:52 - Dec 11 with 5167 views | Pommyhoop | I know it sounds boring but I will be happy with a super tight clean sheet. A cheeky 1-- 0 would be nice but I could handle a 0--0

Match Thread on 16:13 - Dec 11 with 5132 views | whittocksRs | Think Burnley fans always come across as well over the top, act like mini-Man United fans from the Ferguson era, hope we stuff 'em.
Match Thread on 16:18 - Dec 11 with 5123 views | simmo | 1-1 draw - expecting a good game. If we match them for work rate, I think we might have enough to nick it. [Post edited 11 Dec 2015 16:19]

You can't have it both ways. Warnock started games with at least two holding midfielders (Sandro and Faurlin -- neither spends much time in the final third of the pitch), three in the Leeds game if you count Yun as a midfielder (and not just an additional defender). [Post edited 11 Dec 2015 17:13]

Match Thread on 17:15 - Dec 11 with 5046 views | simmo | I'm really intreagued to see how JFH sets up. Is it right he plays a pressing style? Interesting to see then if he leaves someone like Faurlin out who may struggle with pressing but is our most in-form player. Similarly with Hoilett who has looked improved recently (but reverted to type slightly at Reading). He has a fully fit squad that I can see.

Don't think he is yet. Was thinking the other day that Mackie is forgiven his injury and not being available in this season a lot less than other players who aren't fan favourites but have better appearance records. Why isnt anyone having a go about sick note Mackie?

Match Thread on 22:28 - Dec 11 with 4850 views | PunteR | Well ,i'm going with my younger brother tomorrow,so it will be 1-1. It always is. Looking forward to it though. Be interesting to see who starts. From what i've read of Jimmy ,he'll keep it tight and defensive. He obviously doesn't want to concede early but hopefully 2nd half it will be more open.

Afraid to say that Mackie is a sicknote now. I don't think for a second he's a malingerer but he's been out nearly all season.
