We need a proper programme of De-radicalisation 13:27 - Nov 17 with 2139 viewsDorse

It is clear that things have gone too far and that no one has a single answer to this situation. Groups have become polarised and their positions have become entrenched and we lack engagement. If we don't address this soon and create a process of engagement it will be too late.

This is why Dorse Industries will be rolling out the 'Supporters' Progress, Unity and Reconciliation Model' ('SPURM') to create a forum for Rs fans to engage with each other's point of view and de-radicalise hardcore Rs fundamentalists.

Arguments over Karl Henry's selection can be defused with the SPURM. Supporters furiously mass debating over Kevin Blackwell, could all come together, letting the SPURM bring a smile back to their faces.

The process can even be applicable to domestic arguments.

Don't fall out - the SPURM is in your hands.

In my experience, there’s nothing that can’t be sorted out with a free bar, Chas ‘n’ Dave on the sound system and a modest buffet. Good times. I feel at peace just thinking about it. And if that doesn't work, you can always try an 80's compilation album.

I'm sure SPURM's greatest hits compilation will be led by Dexy's Midnight Runners...

I'm sorry you feel that way. It wasn't my intention. I just thought it would be a good fit for the Rs. Sometimes it feels like there isn't any room for something like this, and you expect some drop outs, but we have to give it a try. I mean, sure, it might be uncomfortable for some people, particularly if you're on the receiving end but, if we make allowances for this then I think we'll find that the Rs will be big enough to accept anyone.

My best mate’s family are all from Ponders End and Enfield Lock and they are OBSESSED with Chas ‘n’ Dave — the older ones used to watch them when they were starting out. They also throw a party at the drop of a hat and by about ten o’clock it’s impossible to get Chas ‘n’ Dave off the sound system. I find it impossible to hear the words “Chas ‘n’ Dave” and not picture a load of pi ssed-up Londoners, shed loads of booze and disappointing sausage rolls. They used to play a bit of Chas ‘n’ Dave in the Chancellors after Fulham games too. Good times!

But yeah, you can't go wrong with a bit of Simply Red...

ahhh, the Chancellors. I used to work around the corner and we would pop in for lunch from time to time. Their egg 'n chips were legendary.... though I still can't decide if that's in a good or bad way!

I know you shouldn't moan about a free post-match buffet, but even a greedy bas tard like me wouldn't go near the "meat" based offerings. One of the last few proper Fulham FC pubs about.
