Interesting that Kev Hitchcock chose to leave.. Perhaps he was on a big wedge

Apparently the club were demanding he take over Bondy's piano duties at 'pressers' and he didn't fancy it.

Bare bones.

Good moves. Important that coaches also see one of those pathway thingies that they talk about. Hope it goes well for Gallen. Have high hopes for him.

More progress. If they're not careful they might turn us into a football club.

Is it me, or does that feel like the first draft of an article that accidentally got published?

Bare bones.

It's definatly starting to feel like a new era, a fresh start at rangers now, slowly but surely all the dross that was involved in the Hughes and Redknapp seasons are finally starting to leave the club.

I've been hoping Steve Gallen would get promoted at some point, always comes across as a great person.

Gallen is a great appointment.

I am wondering why he was not made Head of the Academy. That might have been a more natural progression. Perhaps he prefers a more hands-on role (assuming he had any choice in the matter).

One thing is for certain, he will give his all.

I'm interested as to how the coaching structure will work:
DoF - Sir Les
Head Coach - Ramsey
1st Team Coach - Gallen
GK Coach - Vacant (Suckling)
Fitness Coach - Serrant
U21 Coach - Hall

Will Ramsey have an assistant?

Well done the Mail researchers, that picture can't be the 1976 season, cos of course Webby played for the Rangers.

Off topic, but astonishing skill, honesty, ferocity in the tackle, how this great game has changed into a pantomime of cheats, two feet cowards, and diving clowns....great photo...two massive footballers......QPR!

To be fair they didn't say it was from the 1976 season

He's also never lived in the capital, he lives in Bagshot as he's always done since his 70s playing days.

Very happy to see Steve promoted but don't like the sound of these replacements.

Paul Hall?

The academy director coaching the first team?

Ain't gonna make myself popular with this.....but roughly gallens time as youth coach etc co-incides with some very lean years in terms of decent youngsters making the first team. Worried it's jobs for the boys. Ditto the return of mackie who has been cited as a main player in one of our prior dressing room cliques. Gerry Francis yes please. Hill as coach no thanks!

In fairness to Steve he's had nothing to work with. Our recruitment is (hopefully was) non existent.

Plus it was an academy that found Sterling, who Gallen worked with and, although he didn't develop as hoped at Spurs, Dean Parrett. That's two that certainly would have played for our first team. He's done a fine job for the youths IMO.

Bare bones.

Gerry would be a great appointment - a bit of proper experience in there would complete the line-up IMO.

Bare bones.
