Zarate in the eyes of his (ex) countryman 14:13 - Dec 29 with 3338 viewsQPR_ARG

Who's his ex compatriot? Me. Because Zarate was born in Argentina but has now decided he wants to play for Chile, only to find resistance from some members of the Chile national team (Gary Medel for starters and reportedly our own Eduardo Vargas too).

Never liked Zarate. Never will.

I, for one -and I know I'm not alone here- got sick of hearing about "the right sort" and how the club, the current management or whoever, did such a wonderful job in cleaning the dressing room and bla bla bla.

Mauro Zarate is talented. But look at his career and see a man that nobody stands. His attitude is stinking.

Before he was pictured doing a nazi salute (or a Roman salute as some Lazio fans call it), he was taking pictures of himself in front of a mirror wearing only underwear and doing a duck face.

At Inter he had a clause in his contract as the club put a bonus every time he had an assist. That was their measure to try and have him PASS THE DAMNED BALL.

Returned to Argentina, then moved to Europe again. And now he's got no place in a hard-working, cohesive team such as West Ham.

We don't want our very own flawed star and we call him fat and reveal how much he earns at a press conference but we go looking for this Mauro "right sort"Zarate?

Not pleased. Not pleased at all.

There's one of him doing a duck face any 12-year-old girl alive would be jealous of!

Arturo Vidal is a Chilean, we could stick a cheeky bid in for him instead

A cheeky 70 million Pound bid, you mean?

Won't go for a lot less than that.

Thought as much.

Vargas? To me it was more a matter of Rafa not wanting him and he can't afford to sit a semester out doing nothing.

I was surprised we got him too. Not so surprised Redknapp plays him out of position, mind you.

You would rather we sign a midfielder sent back by Cardiff and due in court in a few weeks instead of a striker with a very decent (and current) scoring record?

James Morrison from WBA?
He's a touch of class when he plays for Scotland and seems to work hard too, my favourite Scotland player atm and would be great at LR.

Edit. Forgot about Ravel! Still stands though JM would be good signing, and i've always rated Dorrans too as he's streets ahead of Hoillet, Phillips and what i've seen so far Fer too

Whether you like him or not, if he can add something to our squad I couldn't care a jot what his nationality is. Or was.

Probably got my point wrong.

I don't care about nationalities. Never have. Never will. It was just a play of words because at the moment of writing, I realised he has committed himself to Chile (a country where he wasn't born at and hardly ever been to).

Take everything I said about him as a man who has followed Zarate's career even from before he won the Youth World Cup in 2007 with Aguero as a teammate. Don't pay attention to my nationality.

And obviously, I wish him well while he is at QPR. Even when nobody likes him (except some Velez fans -and they are not that many in total anyway-).
