Just for a change, I thought I'd try something positive.

Ignoring Newcastle, who I think will get out of this, I have looked at our 'Mini-League' and come up with the following:

P-W-D-L-F-A PTS GD "BONUS POINTS"
1. WBA 4-2-2-0-9-4 8 +5 "5"
2. Hull 4-2-1-1-5-3 7 +2 "4"
2. QPR 4-2-1-1-5-3 7 +2 "0"
4. Villa 3-2-0-1-3-3 6 0 "4"
5. S'land 4-1-2-1-5-4 5 +1 "3"
6. PalARSE 4-1-2-1-4-4 5 0 "4"
7. Leicester 4-1-1-2-3-5 4 -2 "5"
8. Burnley 4-0-3-1-2-6 3 -4 "1"
9. Sjoke 5-0-2-3-4-8 2 -4 "10" (!!!!)

Of course, its all about getting the recent performance levels in against the teams around us, picking up something away from home AND getting some "bonus points" against the'big boys', but the season is still there to be had, surely?

...and of the games played to date, the average position of the opposition in today's table is as follows:

1. Villa 9
2. QPR 9.3
3. Hull 9.6
4. Burnley 9.7
5. Leicester 10.2
6. S'land 10.33
6. PalARSE 10.33
8. Stoke 11.1
9. WBA 11.3

Make of it what you will, but to me that says that the season defining games are yet to come...

After the City game is where our key games come thick and fast and we'll need to get points in those ones to stand a chance of staying up. Recent performances are certainly encouraging.
