Cesar on 11:00 - Aug 16 with 2793 views | enfieldargh | there are several flights daily to Lisbon from Heathrow. British Airways, TAP both fly there. If money is an issue try Easyjet from Luton or Ryanair from Stanstead. Adios amigo

Link? http://www.sempreinter.com/2014/08/16/record-o-jogo-julio-cesar-has-rescinded-hi This is an old rumor, be interesting to see if it goes through, as it frees up alot of euros. I have no issues with Julio. But I do with his contract. With respect to the comments on his goalkeeping.....the entire 2012 defensive unit often resembled one playing on a school yard. Ps. If he goes who would you get as cover? [Post edited 16 Aug 2014 19:28]

"Leech" Good luck to him if it comes off. Disgracefully treated by the club and good place to go and finish his career. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Saying disgracefully treated is almost as big an exaggeration as leech is!!

Disgracefully bought by Mark Hughes and sanctioned by a (admittedly naive) silly chairman. No ill will towards Julio at all.

Cesar on 14:08 - Aug 16 with 2236 views | rsonist | Spelling comment? I don't think leech is going too far at all. He was informed in good time that he was no longer wanted and that he wouldn't get a game here - choosing Green over him was a fair and square sporting decision and not "disgraceful treatment". He then went on to refuse a number of very presentable opportunities at competitive clubs in good leagues because none could match the money we were foolish enough to pay. You might not blame him for that cynicism but I don't see why anyone should call it anything other than what it is - parasitic behaviour.

"He then went on to refuse a number of very presentable opportunities" Who did he turn down? Could have a news story on our hands if you have any facts to back that up.
Cesar on 15:00 - Aug 16 with 2176 views | rsonist | Napoli, Fiorentina. Arsenal were rumoured but you never know for sure with them. Benfica have had a longstanding interest.
Cesar on 15:03 - Aug 16 with 2173 views | rsonist | These were widely reported by the way. If you would prefer to continue hero-worshipping Cesar by arguing about what a fact is in this new media age then suit yourself.

Yeah strange about the amount of stuff from the papers that gets posted on here about transfers most assume is rubbish, but when it is a way of bashing Cesar, it must be cast-iron fact. Arsenal never put in an offer, Napoli was a loan deal and when Rangers said they wanted to sell him, they signed Reina, Fiorentina's sporting director came out and said they were not interested in signing him after rumours saying they were. So if you would continue to believe all this, apparently we are signing Ronaldinho.
Cesar on 18:28 - Aug 16 with 2053 views | queensparker | We offered him insane money, then decided not to play him. He never slagged us off in the press, just kept quiet and presumably squared it with Brazil that he'd still play in the World Cup (not that that went too well). Of all the people we've wasted enough money on to keep a few hospitals running for a while, I don't really bear him any ill will. He wasn't obliged to move, and so he didn't. Would anyone on here really turn down millions of pounds to appease a few fans and on a vague principle after a career like his?
Cesar on 18:31 - Aug 16 with 2048 views | rsonist | Uh huh, and how might you happen to be privy to these facts may I ask?
Cesar on 20:40 - Aug 16 with 1949 views | BasingstokeR | I would be worried if Rob Green got injured.

That's just not true there was only one actual offer I believe and that fell through because we asked for money. Everything else was supposedly loan anyway and he took the first concrete offer. I think he has been awfully treated by HR . I also think it's a bit mental our number two keeper is 30+ and I don't think played 50 professional games, so once Cesar does go we are going to need another keeper

Are Brian Murphy and Joe Lumley good enough if Rob Green got injured?
