Lets get him in then

Who, Ferguson? According to Raymond Verheijen Ferguson is still very much 'in'...

'Sir Alex Ferguson is responsible for appointing a relative nobody as his successor allowing him to stay in charge behind the scenes. If United had appointed someone like Mourinho then Fergie’s role would have been over. Even behind the scenes.

'Our friend did not fancy that. But if you do appoint a nobody, at least make sure the coaching staff stays rather than the nobody appointing his clueless coaching friends. So, after the initial discussions about Moyes’ inability to manage a big club like Man United, now it’s time to analyse the biggest problem - Sir Alex Ferguson.'

Difficult to see how they will turn it around. They will be striped on every inquiry they make for a player this summer and have just agreed to pay a 28 yr old fatso 300k a week which sets the bar for new salary negotiations.

If they rush and throw money at it - well we know how that works out- if they go slow a lot of commercial 'partners' will be off elsewhere. City have enough cash to bury them and are building the most unbelievable youth set up just down the road.

They are still a massive club but the good times wont be coming back any time soon. Remember how many London based Liverpool supporters there were in the 80s - do you think they will all be released from the disused railway tunnel they have been hid in for the last 20 years now?

Moyes will have to have balls of steel to get through what is coming next.

The BBC is leading with this quote from Moyes:

"I take responsibility," said Moyes. "It's my team and I always front up."

So any possible similarity ends there.
