Guillem Bauza is the latest player released from the Liberty Stadium

Swansea City have told the Spaniard that his contract will not be renewed and he follows Marcos Painter out of the door.

Bauza - who scored the two goals that sealed promotion from League One - leaves after three years at the club that have never really lived up to the expectations and have seen him fail to tie down a regular spot in the starting line up.

The season just finished saw him moved into midfield but again he was well down the pecking order and his release will have been of no real surprise as the Swans look to trim a squad that was top heavy all season.  Injury as well played a part in his lack of appearances particular since promotion to the Championship.

"As a manager you always have tough decisions to make,'' manager Paulo Sousa told the official site. "Bussy has played an important part in the club's recent rise and I'm sure everyone would like to thank him for his efforts.

"He has a new challenge ahead of him now and we all wish him every success for the future.''
