Time for Saints supporters to put their hands in their pockets and sponsor everyones favourite message board regular on his 100km run this Saturday as he attempts to run from Richmond in London to Brighton.

StuRomseySaint is a well know character in the internet Saints community, whatever your opinions on him he cannot be accused of sitting on the fence and this Saturday 12th May he is certainly not doing that as he runs from Richmond Park in London to Brighton Racecourse a distance of 100km or approx 2.5 marathons.

Stu will depart from Richmond at 6am on Saturday morning after being sent on his way by Mr Motivator, no not Nigel Adkins but the breakfast TV star of many moons ago, he hopes to cover the 100KM or 62 miles in English in around 18 hours, looking to finish by midnight the same evening, a stiff task in anyones books.

But he isnt putting himself through all this pain just for fun, he is hoping to raise a large amount of dosh for the Make A Wish Foundation.

For those of you who quite like the thought of Stu suffering on Saturday we took the liberty of obtaining a few words from the man himself

"On Saturday I am running 100km ( 64 miles ) ( 2.5 marathons ) from Richmond Park in London to Brighton Racecourse in aid of Make a Wish Foundation. I am certainly not super fit and this is certainly going to hurt and not be enjoyable... which should please some members of the Ugly Inside community."

So there you have it conclusive proof that whatever Stu has been called over the years, there is a lot of good in anyone who is willing to put themselves through this sort of day to raise money for kids.

People can donate by visiting www.justgiving.com/stuartschallenge and follow the @awaysupporters for progress reports throughout the day. You can also text your donation by texting " UMFK59 £5 " to 70070.
