Leeds plans for 2011/12 have already began.

It is barely 48 hours since Leeds brought the curtain down on 2010/11 but already Simon Grayson is starting to make plans for 2011/12!

The shock news today was Richard Naylor and Shane Higgs WILL NOT be offered new deals and are free to speak to other clubs.

Keeper Higgs, a free-signing from Cheltenham has failed to push Kasper Schmeichel and after 29 starts for the whites can now look elsehwhere. Naylor came back from the wilderness at the latter part of the season but despite a couple of stirring performances - he will be allowed to move on.

In constrast Paddy Kisnorbo, who made his first start of the season in the win at QPR has been offered a new-deal.

Leeds have also vowed to work with the representatives of both Bradley Johnson and Neil Kilkenny - who's deals both expire in June. However it seems likely that both midfielder's will move on a Bosman.

Leeds' midfield will certainly have a different look about it when it was confirmed today that Sanchez Watt and Jake Livermore will return to their respective north London clubs. Watt has had limited input in his second loan spell with the club and has been overshadowed by the brilliance of Robert Snodgrass. Livermore was a poor signing full-stop.

On the subject of loan men who have not impressed, surely Northern Ireland and Sunderland left-back George McCartney will be on his way out if he has not already left - following a blast from Uncle Ken last week?

One thing for certain is midfielder Ramon Nunez has had his contract extended by one-year. The Honduran has yet to make his Leeds breakthrough but has apparently impressed on loan at Scunthorpe, despite the Iron finishing as the Championship's wooden spoonists.

I'm a bit surprised to see Naylor go, as I thought he'd done well during the last couple of games when he came back.

Nunez might well be the replacement for Kilkenny, if the gobby Australian fails to agree terms with Bates.
